Academy for Health and Lifespan Research Announces 2023 Inductees

BOSTON, April 20 – Today the Academy for Health and Lifespan Research, the first global non-profit group focused on accelerating breakthroughs in the expansion of the human health span, announced the organization’s 2023 inductees, nominated and voted on by the world’s leading geroscientists.

Members of the Academy represent various disciplines in the aging ecosystem and are engaged in disparate approaches, all sharing the common goal of the reduction and reversal of age-related declines and illnesses.

"The 2023 inductees are an elite group that bring a wide range of expertise, knowledge and experience to The Academy as we work collectively to not only achieve breakthroughs in longevity research, but more importantly, make them accessible to all,” said Dr. David Sinclair, professor of genetics at Harvard Medical School and is the co-director of its Paul F. Glenn Center for Biology of Aging Research.

“We are excited to welcome these new members who illustrate the wide range of talent in the science of aging ecosystem, as we all do the important work of bringing the level of attention and funding that longevity initiatives deserve and demand.” said Dr. Nir Barzilai, director of the Institute for Aging Research at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

“We welcome the new members to the Academy and look forward to working with them and the entire membership to shape government policy, the future of the longevity field, and scientific advances that will positively impact medicine and people’s daily lives,” said Eric Verdin, CEO of the Buck Institute for Research on Aging.
